Glen I'm no expert on installing these windshields but this is what I know from experience doing mine. Don't use soapy water instead use silicone and set the glass in the gasket with the rope in the groove. Set the glass in the opening and with help from someone outside pushing slightly, pull the rope around the gasket. It takes some pushing down on the outside to get the bottom corners set in place while pulling in the rope. It will go in being very carefull. You will need a special tool to place the rubber cord in the lock groove. I've tried without one and it's nearly impossible without that tool. Good luck. The last time I got a qoute to install one of these windshields it was $100.
