I have always stayed away from kit houses. We do conventionally framed, highly insulated homes with local lumber. Our solid timbers are sawed by a local 2 man mill. We buy Southern Yellow Pine for flooring now and then. And our hardwoods all come from the mid-west or the east.
This is the first time I have considered being involved with a kit house, due simply to the lack of other prospects.
