Well, I finally have a chance to post again here after a year hiatus working on other cars.

We finally got around to fixing the Power Wagon and got to drive it down the road again. Apparently I didn't do a good enough job on the valve seats as you guys probably recall from the last time I posted the Power Wagon was back firing back through the carb under a load. I thought I fixed it when I found 2 burned valves and replaced them with new ones. Unfortunately I didn't do a good enough job on the valve seats and ended up not having compression on 2 cylinders after that "fresh" valve job. Well I tore it all apart AGAIN and re-did the seats and put her all back together and she runs really good again.

Carston is growing up an helping with the cars in our collection now. Melissa helped us get my 1963 Corvair running after sitting in dry storage in the shop for the last 14 years. She and Carston got into restoring pedal cars in a big way, as I now have 5 of them hanging around the shop. They just finished up a 1941 Chrysler (Steelcraft Murray MFG co.) and now are in the process of tearing into a Garton Hot Rod from about 1965. I've got one more in the fleet to get running (Tin Tillie our 1919 Model T touring)so I am making progress. Glad to see everyone is still here & hope the new finds everyone well.

Talk too you guys soon,

Chris Carston and Melissa Becker
