Randy swears he strapped a pallet to both ends, but it didn't arrive that way. The trucking companies just love to break stuff don't they?

The freight companies won't pick up a bare truck frame. They'll deliver it that way but they won't pick it up. Ideally it should be crated. Building a wooden frame structure around it will work. You just need a place a forklift can get at it to move it around.

Randy built a structure using four 4x4s (clamped to the frame with tie rods), pallets, and banding straps. Fed Ex Freight managed to break most of that off before it arrived at my place.

I suggest calling around for quotes. Tell them what you're shipping and let them decide what freight class it is. The class affects the cost and each carrier will go by their standards which can vary. Get a QUOTE NUMBER to hold them at that rate and use that quote number on your shipping waybill.
