I'm the senior mechanic for a medium sized city in so cal. I have one mechanic under me that's a parts thrower !
He put three brake boosters on a E-350 for a low pedal. Asked him if he checked the rear adjustment. He said "that won't cause that". (can't get rid of him, UNION) Another one did front brakes (pads and rebuilt calipers) No Pedal. Two days and a computer later I pulled it on a rack, took the tires off and asked him what was wrong with it. His response- If I knew that it would be fixed.
The dumb SOB had the calipers on the wrong side ! You guessed it. Bleeders on the bottom! (another union member I can't get rid of) Sure am glad I work on my own cars
