The UFCW was responsbile for Obama carrying the mid-west and he is still able to run for a second term. If he allows the car companies to go bankrupt and walk away from the union contracts, he will have lost a bunch of votes, put hundreds of thousands more people on Medicare and Medicaid that were being cared for under the auto industry pension plan and hurt the Mid-west's chances of recovery.
We are in for another jobless recovery where more American jobs have gone overseas never to return.
