The basic parkerizing process itself does require a stainless tank you can cook the item in, just like bluing. The positive to Parkerizing -v- bluing is there is no caustic or cyanide involved in the tanks.
Of course either process gives off some damn nasty vapors you don't want to breathe.

I believe your original question was how to acheive a green coating. From muy reading Parkerizing itself yields either a gray or black finish. The green color resulted in WW-2 items as a result of lengthy storage in cosmoline.
