Wesley, Check out the defrost timer. It is a little motor that turns a very slow RPM switch that shuts off the compressor about once every 24 hours or so. When it shuts off the compressor, it then turns on some heater coils which defrost the refrigerator. When the defrost timer motor gets weak, strips its gears, or otherwise quits it usually sticks in the compressor off position. Most of the time you can see a little black or red shaft about 1/2" in diameter if you look closely inside the refrigerator near the front. Most of the time the shaft has a straight slot across the end of the shaft. You can take a flat blade screwdriver and just turn it a little and the compressor will start running again. You can do this every day till you get a new timer. There is usualy a removeable cover to access the timer for replacement. You can buy a replacement timer and install it your self for about $35.00.
Hope this helps,
Spence
