frame rivet and bolt question

I have 84 w-350 crewcab shortbox and I want to sandblast the entire frame. without pulling all the rivets you miss alot of the corrosion areas, has anyone pulled a frame apart and rebuilt it with grade 8 hardware instead. I realize the holes would have to be reamed to fit the hardware tightly. Some of the crossmembers are bolted in any ways( transmission crossmember). the front engine crossmember would not be removed either, and I could use a trailer hitch to keep the rear rails in place. does this sound feasible?? its not like these frames grow on trees around here.
