If the shackles are straight vertical (up/down), on a large spring compression, its possible that the shackle goes the wrong direction. This is where springs break fast. And you have a large problem getting the shackle flipped back. My spring shop always wants a few degrees forward on the shackle so it cant flip the wrong direction.
