Soda is slow, sand is unhealthy and damaging, plastic or media is about $40 a bag, about the same as soda but resuseable and faster.
I've used plastic or garnet media on everything that didn't get soda blasted and it worked just fine.
Last Cab cost $300 to media blast and it came out perfect.
