ok is this truck new to you ? first thing check thottle linkage to see if there is a full range of motion to the carb 2) fuel problems i s would suspect a no fuel problem either obstruction in the fuel line or in the jets 3) check compression to see how much the engine has if all a even and high > 4 check ignition points and plugs but esp the timing > that should narrow it down iff th eengine should get you 45 mph ~ Copey
