Homemade washer fluid

I've been trying an experiment lately and wondered if anybody else has tried it. I'm saving my used 50/50 anti-freeze, adding some liquid dish soap, and using it for washer fluid. It always seemed like a waste to just dump the antifreeze down the drain, and the regular washer fluid doesn't do a very good job of defrosting icy windshields. The anti-freeze mixture seems to cut the frost much faster than the regular blue pre-mix does, and it doesn't make the glass any more streaky. If anything, it's less streaky.

The downside is that some people say it will eat the paint (I'll find out), and it won't completely evaporate, so in dry weather it might leave a dirt-attracting residue on the car. However, I don't usually use the washer much in dry weather, so I'm thinking that won't be a problem.

Just curious if anybody else has tried something like that.
