You need to remove the trans top on the FFPWs. Then there is a big spring inside. The pin is on one side, goes into a slot in the lever, to keep the lever from spinning.

But Oh Shoot! On some of the actual nut ones, the pin is loose, held in by the capness of the nut. It can come out- and possibly fall into the tranny, causing much grief if it locks up the tranny while in motion. Account for that pin!
