i have discs on my command car - front and rear. i have no booster, but do have a dual master cylinder - the one that ray uses on his m37 dual master conversion. i mounted it under the floor using late ffpw parts (rare). with modern brakes, a dual master & new lines & hoses, you likely have all the brakes you will ever need for a stock truck. i have no proportioning valve as my setup is unboosted. i have never had a problem stopping in any condition or any situation, nor do i believe a proportion valve would be a benefit on an unboosted system. on my m37 that had a hp 360, i had no problem with the same setup. i think when you go to a booster, you begin to have a need for the valve. i did the m37 unboosted and planned on adding a booster if there was a need. the stopping power was great and not adding a booster eliminated a system. on the command, i did power steering and dual discs. im running ndts. they would be the cause of any problem on my truck. if i knew how bad they were, i would have done 11.00 16 michelins and would have skipped the 489s.
