Leak from the back? Like where the brake line comes out? That should be an easy fix. If my memory is right, the brake line goes into a brass flare fitting, which in turn screws into a straight thread in the MC. The fitting seals to the MC with a copper washer. Make sure it's in there and is clean. The flare fitting should seal if it's tightened good and tight (a flare nut wrench is a good investment so as not to round off the impossible-to-replace tubing nut). If both are tight, the copper washer is in place, and it still leaks, look very carefully for scratches or dirt on the mating surfaces. Note that the threads themselves do not provide a seal, so doping it up with pipe dope or teflon tape is pointless.

If you're not positive of where it's leaking from, clean it all very thoroughly, and then have somebody push on the brake pedal while you get underneath and look. It could be leaking around the cover, if it's not tight or the gasket is missing, and running down the back so as to make you think it's leaking out of the brake line fitting. For very tiny leaks, cleaning it all, and then dusting it with talcum powder will help show where the leak is starting from.
