This is the story of a Power Wagon and the girl next door. I bought the 46 in 1999 and found my self a frequent visitor under the hood and under the truck try to discocever the secrets to maintenance and repair on the old Dodge. One day shortly after bringing the truck home I found myself under the truck cussing the loss of my wrench and I find myself being handed said wrench by the woman who lived next door. I had lived there a few years and had only waved as I am somewhat reserved with women I do not know.

From that day frequent sorties to the truck created as relationship that has spanned all these years and events. Soon there were events that we made together and her gatthering interest in a WC12 I found one after 9 11 and much to my horror she was always able to drive it much better than me( I was secretly very proud of that fact.) As well as the year she came in second on the obstical course at the Iowa rally. Are relationship had its ups and downs. The biggest being the death of her son.

As I stood at her casket tonight I realized what a lucky man I have been to have known her and been a recipent of her love. As the years have gone by I see the milestones of the people in the power wagon community we have known and the love we have shared. She was so found of the people she knew Dennis Sherman, Steve at Vintage, The sawyers, Paul Cook, Sam Goin, Dwight, The Bakehorns and all the others that I thought I should pass this message along of Thanks and my undying graditude for your friendship. She fell ill at Christmas with pnuemonia andwas unable to recover she passed away Friday afternoon and I wanted to share these things with you.

Tomorrow The power wagon will do one last task as it did with my last dog it will follow the family to the cemetary behind the family and follow her to her resting place at the request of the fsamily. It is what they wanted and I hope to find the strength to carry it out. There are so many stories I could tell but it has been so hard to tell this one. My years as a servant of the people of this great country have been full of terrible deeeds and great views of the stength in all of us. This will be one of the hardest. All my love Selley Mark.

Thank you for your friendship and support you are all the most wonderful people
