Thanks for your information about the Power Giant. As it turns out, the guy told me to come by and look it over again. He told me to come by and drive it.
Well, I did both. I looked it over well, and it presented quite nicely. Very, very nicely, actually. Then I drove it. It was just like when I drove it 15 years ago. Nice, but in need of some "tweeking".
Then came "price time". We had agreed that rather than waste time argueing over price, he would simply tell me what his expectations were. Boy, did he ever!
So here is the deal. THE TRUCK IS STILL AVAILABLE FOR SALE!!!!
Would you like it? A mere $15,000.00 will allow you to drive it home today!
Perhaps you have that kind of cash, but its too rich for me! Besides, the owner originally confided to me that he paid only
$5,000.00 for the truck. Somehow, a 300% mark-up seems a bit rich.
Anyway, if you want it, just let me know. Perhaps you can talk him down to a more reasonable offering. But I must warn you, he stated that for him to sell it for less than the 15K wouldn't be worth his time or investment andhe would rather keep it in storage for a stronger market.
