I owned at one time an oldsmobile cutlass f-85 convertible and a f-85 2-door hardtop. I moved to northern Indiana. While waiting on the mortgage to go through on my new house, and then unexpectedly sold and gave up possesion early on my old house, and knowing my new mortgage would be closed in just a few weeks. I decided to leave both cars at my brothers on his concrete driveway. I bought expensive covers to protect these decent cars from the elements as they were used to the comforts of a garage. Good idea? NOT! In just a few days a person came shooting pictures from his car.I happened to be at the door (luckily, since this could be considered a drive by shooting?) I ran out and stopped him to see what was going on since the cars weren't as photographic with their covers on. As it turns out, it goes against local law, to put a cover on your older car in your driveway. He said he would delay his intentions of removal without notice for only 30 days considering my temporary situation. Very generous huh? Odd to he didn't seem concerned with the late model ford 20 feet away without an engine or transmission or a decent cover to protect it.
