I've located a '59 W-300 PW for sale. It has 20K original miles. It is a retired fire truck. It is currently owned by a mechanic, who was completely gone over the unit. Further, the body has been restored to like new condition, with the exception of one small rust whole on a floor panel within the cab area.
It has been repainted.
The truck has a fire pump (PTO driven) on the front bumper, and a factory installed winch tucked up nicely under the rear tailboard. The water tank is in the bed, and has no leaks. The bed wood is still good.
The glass is good, except for the driver's door. Like almost all old PWs, it is cracked. Otherwise, no fogging or breaks.
Im more used to looking at WM300s, but I drove this truck as a teen at the local FD, so im a little interested.
OK, so whats everyone's opinion? What is this model worth? I dont want to get taken, but I want to be fair, as well.
