The GM 305, Expecially the one of the early 80's were notoriously known for killing camshafts. Wearing the lobes flat before 70K. I have never cared for many small block CHevy engines, Most 350's run good and strong but yet they have their quirks. My expirence with the 360 Mopar has not been good tho. THey tend to run too hot, and spit timing chains like mad. THey also dont have the power they should. Do yourself a favor and go with a 318, put a small 4 bbl on it (not Holley) and a good dual exhaust. tune it right and you wont be sorry. I love the 318.
