My daughter and I installed 1987 D-150 sheetmetal on a 1991 3/4 ton Cummins Turbo Diesel frame and running gear with excellent results. The biggest chore was replacing the 2x4 cab floor pan with the 4x4 cab floor pan to clear the transfer case. Of course, we replaced the wiring harnesses under the hood and inside the cab, along with the instrument panel. There were a few minor modifications to be made, but the job was mostly straight replacements. This truck still has functioning power windows, power door locks, cruise control and air conditioning. I believe that we have the only 1987 1/2 ton Cummins Turbo Diesel around. Good luck with yours.
