I've read all the comments thus far and still,I am not 100% sure of what the exact issue is.Are we looking for a centered diff. axle,or a diff. that has a larger choice of gear sets,or a stronger diff.? Military and WDX-WM300 are plenty tough for everyday work and then some.We have a choice of low 5:83 and higher 4:86 gears.Other than practical and safety upgrades such as Disc brakes, pwr str(optional),elect.wipers, locking hubs,cv joint on front dr.shaft,etc. theres not much that needs changing. If you want a centered diff. axle why not take 2 std. axles housings and shorten the long side, then shorten the other long side and replace the short side and have 2 (or more)inner axle shafts made and wa-la,now you have an original looking axle w/centered diff. As far as all the dissatisfied PW owners who can't seem to be satisfied with reasonable upgrades,do what has been suggested many times-Get the frame with desired drivetrain and place one of those fiberglass WDX-WM300 style bodies on it.Sell your real truck to help pay for what you really want, something else that looks like a PW.
