In a C500 with a 540 direct, the trans was availble with a "short" 4th, which I assume means short throw. This would prevent a driver from accidentally shifting into reverse, which has a long throw, am I correct?
At least thats how it feels when dry shifting thru the gears,
unless I have a problem with 4th internally.
