That would work too. I'm thinking that between having a bunch of unlabeled toggle switches, needing to choke and prime it to start it, and the fact that we don't have many car thieves here and if we do develop one he wouldn't know what to make of a Tucker Sno-Cat, it should be safe without a key switch. Time may prove me wrong, since I didn't expect my neighbor's grandson to steal my chain saw and grinder out of my garage either. When I lived in Everett nobody tried to steal my M37 even though I just had a toggle switch for the ignition, even though thieves tried to steal my Honda car twice. Anybody could have made off with the M37, but I don't think the kids these days even know how to hot-wire a simple vehicle (even if I had put a key switch on it), and they've probably never seen a floor-pedal starter and if they did manage to get it started, wouldn't figure out for quite a while that the transfer case is in neutral. If some punk kid did manage to get my Sno-Cat going, I would know it was someone who I'd given a ride to and had thus learned which switch was which and how you start it. Even so, he wouldn't be able to go very fast or far and he'd attract lots of attention. So, that's what I'm thinking anyway.

As for the weather, yeah, I'd be ready for some more. We're in the typical January doldrums now. I was glad to have it melt a lot of the weight off of my flat-roofed building. I've seen lots of buildings down in Coeur d'Alene and Spokane that collapsed from the snow. Wallace actually up above the fog and low overcast that covers the Columbia basin in this kind of weather, so it's been clear and sunny lately.
