the 1956 2wd 1 ton is a 8-3/4 ring and pinion the FFPW is a 9/5/8 ring and pinion not the same . i might have a set of 4.89 8-3/4 ring and pinion to fit your friend truck .finding 4.30 will be very hard to come by . im in SO oregon
