Starting a cold soaked dodge...any old tips?

I have seen a couple of videos of starting trucks/tractors in the cold. One thing i have seen is starting the cold soaked engines is that the operator does NOT push in the clutch. I have always pushed in the clutch to aid in starting. My 48 started today at -12 and it does not have a block heater.

Anyone have any old tips to aid in starting?
