MIGS are constant voltage power plants and TIG/stick machines are constant current units. You cannot easily convert stick to MIG but you can put a hi-frequency TIG unit on a stick machine. If you want a MIG, it would be better to buy one for the purpose. I bought a used 150 Miller about 20 years ago (was built in the 1970's). It had the old tap leads and I only paid $100 but it still does a great job - good used ones are out there if you do some looking.
