And we still don't know what the law really says. If it's not worth $500/day to you to go look it up and/or talk to a competent local lawyer, then you'd best just pay the money and hide your car ASAP. Maybe you didn't want advice. Maybe you just wanted to vent. If so, I'm sorry about giving you advice. If it was me, I'd read the law. But that's just me.
