Is what I'll use when I need to replace mine, or put some on an empty winch. A slusher is a mining machine that's basically an air-powered winch that drags a bucket to scrape the ore out of a narrow stope. Compared to a truck winch, a slusher is a real torture-test for a cable. The winch is used on every shift every day, so the cable has to be flexible enough to wind in and out on the drum without fatiguing. In use, the cable drags on the floor of the stope, which is a mixture of mud, sharp rocks, and all kinds of grit. Lastly, miners aren't known for babying their equipment. Compared to a slusher, our truck winches live a life of ease and comfort. A slusher drum is a little big larger in diameter than a light-truck winch, but not much. The cable is quite flexible. It's not galvanized, which might be a disadvantage if you care about how it looks and you rarely use it, but in regular use, galvanizing isn't important. Lastly, I can get it right here in town, and it's relatively inexpensive.
