1975 Power Wagon questions

I have a '75 sno-sommander/power wagon and it has a couple of issues.
First, is there a way to increase the alternator speed at idle (pulley change) so the lights don't dim at a stop? It has a '79 360 w/auto trans.
Second, what is the fuel tank sending unit resistance range, as I would like to add a second tank and would l;ike the gauge to read correctly?
