My guess is that the GY-LTS is the critical number.

I did all 5 rims a couple years ago. Different years codes, about 52 to 53. All made by Goodyear, to Budd's design. One had a different logo stamped inside the rim under the flap area. Under the flap is also where they were stamped like the following ring numbers.

Currently readable rings are 3 eachs stamped 6.50h-16 & GYLTS & M

and one is GYR6516LTS & Y

My guess is the Y and M are ring date codes? since the rims are obviously date stamped.

Problems would arise if interchanging rings between brands. I think. Judging by the way rings are sold separately, there can't have been too many variations, especially with military contracts.

Anybody actually have a rim/ring catalog? I've searched the net before and only came up with modern stuff, only drop centers nowadays.
