This being the last day of the year ,I don’t do a whole lot .In fact I get a little selfish ,I sneak off to a spot on the farm ,nothing special , just a small hill that lets me overlook my farm . With me I take a my daughters daily journals, she keeps tract of the entire years events and records them in these books . With me I take my pipe and light a hot bowl and sit and read and occasionally look up and glance across the fields to give my eyes some rest ,or to reflect on some the words in the book ,taking time to review where the year went. When I was a kid I seemed to have too much time ,misspent youth ,so to speak , now that I am older I seem to have no time but today I make time > I look back at the good and the bad things that have happened , the mistakes I made and hope not to make the same ones twice . I will mourn the passing of my friends and welcome the new ones in my life and think especially of the best days I have enjoyed . Tonight I will drive to a city not too far away and get us dinner I pile everyone in the van for the hour drive and give my infamous New Years Eve speech , all the way home . I just ask them to use their time wisely and think things through and look for the silver lining in life .To all my friends and your family on this site I wish you all a happy New Year and thank each and every one of you for being a big part of my life ~ Copey
