I lived in Hollywood in 1950-51 or so and walking down Hollywood Blvd. one day going to the movies I saw Percy Kilbride (Pa Kettle go into the 5 and 10 cent store. He was dressed up just like in the movies when he did get dressed up, with a black suit that looked to tight, a big bow tie, a flower in his lapel and the derby and cane. I watched him for a few seconds and then couldn't stand it anymore. I found some paper somehow and when I asked for his Autograph he said Why Certainly. I said thank you sir and he said Not at all. I started something but he didn't mind.
