I started to leave them long (I started with a single piece of 20' belt), but the material had a curve set into it from being rolled up for so long, and I was afraid if it ever got into the tire while in reverse (getting out of a spot I should have made it through), it might cause problems, you know how much trouble I had with the tail lights.
I tried the OD Krylon on a scrap piece, but it won't dry, stays tackie.
Santa is bringing be an Edge Juice With Attitude for the tow rig, so I'll have to keep "tuning" the M as I go.
