I don't want to start a fight here but, I am neither for nor against the bail out.

I can't speak to the need for bailout money by the foriegn auto makers, (Ford and GM), I can only speak from my experience with Chrysler. I have drove, raced, worked on, and salvaged Chrysler products since I was 14, I am now a half a decade old plus.

Chrysler would have never needed any help from anyone if their leaders would have pulled on their neckties and got their heads out of their anus orffices.

In 1985 Dodge in all it's wisdom quit the crew cab market, and lost their market share to Ford and GM. The public kept buying them. In 1993 we quit the fullsized SUV market and still don't have one, yet ford and GM sell the hell out of them. When we started making an SUV again under the Dodge brand it was on the joke called a Dakota frame, this was stupid seeing that we already had a small SUV named Jeep. GM and Ford continued to make a diesel PU in the '80s but we didn't even start until '89. How much market share did we loose there? We haven't built a Dodge badged 2 ton truck since '77 and yet GM and Ford never quit. Ford and GM each designed and built a car to market to the teens, (the Mustang and the Monte Carlo), and built them as high production vehicles, yet when we built the Prowler, and Challenger we built them limited production and with a price tag that no kid could dream of affording, Hell then we built the Charger and low and behold it is a stupid 4 door, come on. We on this board have been begging for a Power Wagon to be built, hummmmm, where is it. Dodge had a chance to literly capture the SUV and 1/2 ton pickup market by using the Ram Charger and installing a 4bt Cummins in it and the 1/2 ton pu but where the hell are they?????

Chrysler don't want to listen to the buying public and yet they want us to bail them out with our hard earned money, what the hell is wrong with this picture????

If we bail any of the auto makers out then we the public should demand as part of it that ALL parts and assembly should have to be made and put together in AMERICA by AMERICAN WORKERS.

The Plants in Mexico can not send vehicles into the US so they better build only what they can sell in Mexico.

That is my rant so I will get off of the soap box and let someone else have it.

This was all IMHO and strictly FWIW and so on.
