I've been following your post and the comments. How often do you drive the M37? Is it possible that if you don't drive it frequently, and if the oil had leaked out, that some condensation could have developed, and you might have a little rust buildup, causing something not to move. I can't see how it could ever get full of water, but condensation can develop and cause rust. Seems like without pulling and inspecting, you won't know.
It's been pretty balmy here in Sandpoint. I'm waiting for a client to decide whether to start their house in Dec. or not. I hope they make their minds up soon. Not a lot of breathing room here. JH
