Now everybody here knows I'm a minimalist of a mechanic, I don't take things apart just so I can say I did.
But if that unit has bad bearings, it looks like that convex plug can get drove out and then stuck back in, followed by a couple taps in the center to expand/seat it. I think I'd stack a socket on the gear so it will tend to lift the bubble higher, pulling the circumference inwards.
That's not a new Chevrolet. Tractor parts just weren't made to be "not taken apart".
