Northern sells mostly imported junk, but Ramsey manufactures out of a 132,000 sg. ft facility in Tulsa OK.
Warn is more expensive because it's a better winch. Faster line and recovery times and the rated line and motor strength is more accurate than the imports, or Ramsey.
JP Magazine performed a winch shoot out a year ago, out of 8 winches, only 4 brands even completed the test before they fried (my kind of test!) The Warn was the winner, but you get what you pay for.
"over priced" is why we have most of our manufacturing jobs exported. Competition is good, but dumping junk crap on our shores that cause American companies to go under or export jobs overseas is bad.....
