Air them down for the winter to get more tread on the ground, it helps some but I don't venture too far away from home in the snow. They work fine in soft powder as long as they can dig to solid ground, early season 18" snow is fun. I'd like to do chains but I'm running 18" gamma goat wheels and I don't think chains will fit under the fenders. Same thing on rain slicked pavement. I had a real good scare one day, so did the lady on the other side of the intersection.
