I must disagree Vaughn.

If the ambient temperature is 30F degrees below zero, that would mean that the Power-Wagon engine was designed to run at 70F degrees or lower. That would be WAY to low for the engine, regardless of the ambient temperature.

A 180 degree themostat is a 180 degree thermostat. It does not detect ambient temperature and then adjust itself to regulate coolant temperature to be 100 degrees or less above that.
