Where should temp needle be on a 251 CID

I have a '62 pw that has the electric temp gauge that just reads "HEAT". Currently the needle is to the right of center and just into the "A" when the truck is up to temp. It consistantly runs at this temp and is within the normal range according to the gauge but, leaning toward the higher side of normal. Is this where it is supposed to be?
