It was on my 1977 CJ5 when I bought it in 1985. I like it so much that when I recently bought a winch for my car hauler I tried to purchase a Ramsey. Evidently they aren't selling them much on the left coast so by the time I added all of the shipping it would have been a lot more than a Warn.
I don't have any idea what the quality of the Chinese winchs are but in my opinion when you need a winch, you are usually in some situation that you need to have a piece of equipment that you can really rely on. I didn't even consider one when I bought this Warn last summer. Just my opinion.
