Chrysler is asking for support from America, please visit the link, read the request and follow through if so inclined.
While I'm against ALL of these so called bailouts, the free market system has been completely corrupted by the government actions of the last two months. If the bumbling and corrupt banks, insurance companies and credit card companies are getting literally trillions of dollars, we might as well include Chrysler as a worthy recipient?
I'm against bailouts, but Chrysler made it work once before and if Iraq is the beneficiary of 100's of billions of our hard earned money, then I suppose Chrysler is worth 25 billion?
What say you?

The members of the Chrysler Advisory Board have told Mr. Nardelli that Chrysler needs a concise, conservative, business plan, including new union agreements and gov. take over of the legacy fund costs, as well as telling the taxpayers how the money will be re-paid. We've also stated that more than a bailout loan is needed, tax rules such as IRS rule 179, that encourage buying is also required so that this money isn't used to "tread water" until it too runs out. A big part of the problem is getting customer financing.
The last straw for me was the 360 billion given to Citi Corp on Monday, if these incompetent bankers can get a handout for being poor financial institutions then Chrysler, who at least makes a product, should also get help.
We also suggested that all three auto makers should caravan to DC in their new electric vehicles to build interest and show off the products they are bringing to market next year.
The sad fact is that GM won't last until Jan or Feb and Chrysler won't last until March, at the current "burn rate" of funding capital, unless something drastic is done.
