Tim, Dennis is right.I repaired thousands of them in Alaska during the Vietnam war and converted some for civilian vehicles. The blower fan will turn slower but I found that there was a big difference in some of the 24 volt motors and some ran fast on 12 volt. The only trouble I had was on the fuel valve coils some of them needed to be replaced because they were too weak to turn the fuel on at 12 volt.
Be carefull with the flame detect switch glass rod if you break that you will be cold. Glen
