It's 24 volt 25 amp, sealed, military. Big generator for not much output. The hole in the inside of the end cap is just big enough for the shaft. The bearing retainer appears to be on the outside of the end cap, held in with a number of screws. I took them out, which leaves the retainer loose, but it won't slip off the shaft because there's a flange on the shaft that blocks it.
