I just got an email from Government Liquidation saying that the upcoming B&Q sales, which is where they sell all the vehicles and trailers that require an EUC, have been canceled. There's a big discussion about this on steelsoldiers. One guy there got the following explanation from GL:
"OK, here is the information I just received from my GL rep...
Our current President, GWB, had just sent an order for reclassification of Military Use Only materials to be sold on GL from F-14 tool sets/kits to Trucks. He does not want anything that can aid the enemys cause to be available. (Although we Americans should not be in that group!?!)
Primarily this is concerning Demil B and Q items.
Demil B being primarily Military Use Only, and Demil Q being usable both in Military and Civilian: both requiring an EUC.
What is going on is that these items are being Re-classified into new categories so that they can be separated from the previously lumped together "Demil B/Q" category.
What this means is that some of the items that are Military Use Only will no longer be offered, current sales cancelled and even some materials called back."
The words that worry me are "some materials called back". We've already been through GL demanding old fatigues and obsolete electronic equipment be returned for destruction. Is this where they start crushing trucks? Is it all going to get better when Obama takes over?
