It's a perfect story for Halloween!
Any one who defiles Jeep, comes to an ill end, so technically it should be called the Bantam Curse, but it goes like this: Willys took control of Bantam's design, a successful auto maker, Willys soon faltered and was bought by Kaiser Steel. Kaiser, one of America's most successful conglomerates, soon begins to hemorrhage money, Kaiser is bought by AMC. AMC, a small but viable automaker begins to struggle and is purchased by Renault. Renault is forced to sell AM General, the AMC Defense Division. AM General is bought by GM, once America's largest corporation, who immediately capitalizes on the AMC/Jeep, 7 slot Hummer grill. Hummer begins to struggle and take down GM, GM nears bankruptcy.
Meanwhile Renault barely escapes with their lives and AMC is sold to Chrysler.
Chrysler, one of Americas largest corporations begins to struggle and is devoured by Daimler, Europe's largest conglomerate. Daimler immediately falls on hard times and unloads a very ill Chrysler to Cerberus.....now, my post to the Chrysler Advisory Board (CAB):
It was a dark and stormy night...
The sale of AM General and later of Chrysler Defense, has been a thorn in the side of Jeep ever since...
Later, GM puts the Jeep seven slot grill onto the H2 and H3 and now the "Jeep Curse" infects them too...any company that defiles Jeep, comes to an ill end...and that concludes my Halloween story.....and the haunting of Cerberus.
No dog, even one with three heads, escapes the Jeep Curse......
