in retrospect, i would do 11.00 x 16 tires to gain the same gearing effect as adding the 489s. that way you get modern rubber and increased road speed for less money. you also retain stock gearing. just another way to think about it. if you do larger tires and gears, you will not have enough engine power with a stock motor. i dont remember how much the arbs cost, but you likely could do a rear locker & new tires for the same price as tires and gears.
