Boy does that pic bring back some memories.
In the mid-70's I drove a 1947 Chevy 1 1/2 ton panel during my high school years. It was the civvy version, RWD only, art deco style. Paid $850 for it, which was a lot then. It could go about 45 MPH with a tail wind, rough ride with that heavy suspension. Have only seen 1 other civvy model since then. There is a mil version, 4WD in Flagstaff, AZ.
